Reflecting on a Dream

In the past, Ellens has worked with the cities of Los Angeles and Pasadena to make shirts celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Our desire to recognize a truly great man is no less than in years past, but this year MLK Day falls in the midst of truly unprecedented social challenges and pressures. We are caught between the fires of a deadly pandemic, political unrest and the inauguration of a new President along with the cries for social justice in communities across the nation.

Dr. King’s message was one of love triumphing over hate, peace over war and strife, and it is in that spirit that we take to heart his words, “Hate is too great a burden to bear, I choose to love.” The times we find ourselves in make another of his famous quotes even more prescient: “We may have all come on different ships, but we’re in the same boat now.” On this 18th day of January, 2021 we hope you will join us in reflecting on a true American hero’s dream of peace and cooperation amongst all our citizens.

Get Ready for a Frighteningly Good Time!

The BBMT‘s annual HaLLoWe’eN SpoOkTaCuLaR returns just in time for the most scary season of the year! In a partnership with PlayhouseLive, Bob Baker’s show will be available to stream on Halloween morning for your little ghouls and goblins. KTLA recently featured the show and give you a wonderful preview.

Remember, if you enjoy the BBMT’s programs, support them if you can. Tickets are available for upcoming socially distanced events, and they have tons of cool merch in their online store, (with shirts like the one above printed here at Ellen’s, naturally).

Did You Get Your Coffee?

For so many of us, coffee is an essential part of our day. We drink it at the crack of dawn, or late into the evening. We drink it hot and iced, plain black or dressed up with a myriad of milks and flavors. It’s there for us when we need a little comfort or a bit of pep in our step.

It would be an understatement to say that here at Ellen’s, we have some big coffee fans. Here are a few of our favorite coffee shop customers we make custom mugs, tote bags, enamel pins, tees, and more for; if you’re looking for your daily cup of coffee, we highly recommend them!:

Back to School Isn’t What it Used to Be…

As so much changes around us, some things stay the same. Students may be attending class remotely, but they’ll still need to show some school pride with spirit wear and cool gear.

From face masks emblazoned with your beloved mascot, baseball caps ready to play ball, that sweatshirt you hope you’ll need soon, to that t-shirt you’ll cherish forever, we’re here to celebrate your school spirit and root root root for the home team. That’s something that will never change.

Keep Ellen’s Silkscreening in mind for all of your school spirit needs!
