Ellen’s Silkscreening is a medium sized apparel printing and embroidery company based in South Pasadena, California. We regularly handle printed and embroidered orders of between 24 and 5,000 units in-house on a 7-10 working day turnaround. Our knowledgeable sales team also sources out printed promotional product orders to a large network of vendors on a daily basis.

When placing an order, are there any minimum quantity requirements?


Screen Printing

Our basic order minimum is 48 units if Ellen’s is supplying the goods and the imprint has 4 colors or less. However, some orders may have higher minimums.

The minimum is calculated by adding 12 units for each color printed in a particular location on an item. For example, if a customer needed a t-shirt with a 5 color design on the front and a 1 color design on the back, the order minimum for that shirt would be 72 units. (5 colors on the front plus 1 color on the back = 6. 6×12=72)


Our minimum is 24 units if Ellen’s is supplying the goods.

Promotional Products

Order minimums vary depending on the particular item being ordered. Please call for this information.

Can the customer supply the goods to be printed or embroidered in an order?

We apologize, but no.

Customer supplied items are not accepted at Ellen’s Silkscreening. We like to source all of our goods ourselves, both to ensure our customers receive the highest quality items and to make sure we are using the right kinds of ink and thread for the job.

What is your order turnaround time?

Screen Printing & Embroidery

Our standard turnaround time for screen printed and embroidery orders is 7-10 working days from receipt of proof approval. (For all new orders we generate an email proof for customer review and approval)

Promotional Products

Turnaround times for promotional product orders are typically 2-3 weeks from proof approval.

Do you offer rush turnaround times?

Order size and production schedule permitting, we do. We offer rush turnarounds from 2-5 days. Additional fees apply.

How do I place an order?

What artwork formats do you accept?

We accept graphic design (.ai, .eps) and photographic files (.psd, .tif). Note that photo files should be set at the desired imprint dimensions with a resolution of 300 dpi. We can also accept original drawings or paintings up to 8.5″ x 11” provided they can be placed on a flatbed scanner.

How should I prepare my artwork files?

When do you require payment?

We require a 50% deposit to begin an order with the balance due on pickup/delivery.
We accept cash, check, Visa, Discover, and Mastercard.

What are your quantity price breaks?

Our standard quantity price breaks are at: 24, 48, 72, 96, 144, 288, 432, 1000, 2500, 5000, 10,000.

Do you offer design services?

We do.

We have 2 in-house graphic designers. We bill their time at $50 per hour.
