Hometown Hero Adonis Harrison is Bringing Baseball Back to Pasadena
Adonis Harrison, head coach of the John Muir High School Mustangs baseball team, recently had team dress shirts embroidered at Ellen’s Silkscreening. Harrison is himself a graduate of John Muir High; he was drafted to play professionally right out of school, but decided to go to college instead. He was later drafted again, and went on to play baseball professionally for twelve seasons.
In an effort to bring his favorite sport back to his hometown, Adonis started a free baseball camp at John Muir High School to encourage teens to play a sport that has seen more enthusiasm in years past.
With Adonis’ guidance, the Mustangs are currently number one in their league with 5 wins, two losses, and one tie. Their next game is a home game on Friday, March 30th, at 3:30pm; the team’s schedule for the rest of the season can be found here.
