Doing Good with the SPEF Business Alliance

At Ellen’s Silkscreening, we believe it is important to to be engaged and supportive members of our local community. When the South Pasadena Educational Foundation invited us to become members of their Business Alliance, we jumped at the chance.

Embracing the opportunity to support fundraising efforts for our local schools, Ellen’s gladly provided clear vinyl bags for one of SPEF’s recent fundraisers. These sturdy vinyl bags are perfect for attending concerts and sporting events.

Honoring a Star in South Pasadena

The South Pasadena Woman’s Club honored Ellen’s Silkscreening founder Ellen Daigle by presenting her with their Shining Star Award at their recent Fall Fashion Show and Luncheon. Ellen is only the second person to receive the Shining Star Award from the Woman’s Club.
“The Shining Star Award isn’t presented annually — it’s when we find someone who is deserving, and that person is Ellen,” said Woman’s Club Committee Member Sherry Plotkin. “She is persistent, driven and consistently helps others in so many ways.”
“I’m thrilled to be a Shining Star,” said Ellen. “The joy of building a business has been creative, exciting and very hard work. It’s been a wonderful and amazing journey. I’m so honored and happy to see my friends and so many women who have contributed so much to this community and to the world. Thank you all for making this amazing day possible.”

Reaching for the Stars at the Hollywood Bowl

Since 1977, the Los Angeles Philharmonic has celebrated the work of renowned film composer John Williams with live concerts at the Hollywood Bowl. Williams himself has been conducting the LA Phil at these special performances since 1978.
Ellen’s Silkscreening recently helped the Hollywood Bowl get ready for it’s annual John Williams concert by screen printing a beautiful full color design of the iconic Star Wars Death Star floating over the Bowl. While Ellen’s doesn’t have quite as long a history with the Bowl as John Williams, we just celebrated the 16th anniversary of our partnership with the Bowl.
To read more about the history of John Williams at the Hollywood Bowl, the LA Phil has a great piece on their site.

Let Us Plant the Seeds of Your Next Campaign

When Lark Seeds and Admiral Seeds had a big event on the horizon that needed some sophisticated promotional items, they came to Ellen’s Silkscreening.
Ellen’s was able to put together a suite of custom and coordinating items for both companies that put their logos front and center on beautiful, handy items, such as mugs, water bottles, notebooks, and pens.
