Remembering Ellen Daigle

It gives us great sadness to announce the passing of the amazing Ellen Daigle, the founder and co-owner of Ellen’s Silkscreening along with her husband, Joe Daigle. Ellen passed away peacefully at home on September 12th after a long and brave struggle with glioblastoma, a highly aggressive form of brain cancer.

Looking Back on ISS Long Beach, and Gildan’s Updated Classic

Once a year screenprint shop owners and operators converge on the Long Beach Convention Center, to attend the garment industry’s premier trade show, Impressions Magazine’s Impression Expo. Amongst the shuffle this January were 12 members of Ellens’ core staff. The Ellens team was there to do what they do every year; to collect inside intel on the latest trends and happenings in the world of screen print and embroidery. This yearly pilgrimage is a critical part of our mission, to bring you and your team the highest quality promotional products and wearables available today.

Reflecting on a Dream

In the past, Ellens has worked with the cities of Los Angeles and Pasadena to make shirts celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Our desire to recognize a truly great man is no less than in years past, but this year MLK Day falls in the midst of truly unprecedented social challenges and pressures. We are caught between the fires of a deadly pandemic, political unrest and the inauguration of a new President along with the cries for social justice in communities across the nation.

Dr. King’s message was one of love triumphing over hate, peace over war and strife, and it is in that spirit that we take to heart his words, “Hate is too great a burden to bear, I choose to love.” The times we find ourselves in make another of his famous quotes even more prescient: “We may have all come on different ships, but we’re in the same boat now.” On this 18th day of January, 2021 we hope you will join us in reflecting on a true American hero’s dream of peace and cooperation amongst all our citizens.

We All Know How Important Voting Is…

We all know that we have an important civic duty to wear a mask and a valued right to vote. That’s why here at Ellen’s Silkscreening we are giving away a FREE “vote” face mask with every order placed from now until Election Day. We hope to remind everyone of the importance of wearing masks and casting their ballot.

Did You Get Your Coffee?

For so many of us, coffee is an essential part of our day. We drink it at the crack of dawn, or late into the evening. We drink it hot and iced, plain black or dressed up with a myriad of milks and flavors. It’s there for us when we need a little comfort or a bit of pep in our step.

It would be an understatement to say that here at Ellen’s, we have some big coffee fans. Here are a few of our favorite coffee shop customers we make custom mugs, tote bags, enamel pins, tees, and more for; if you’re looking for your daily cup of coffee, we highly recommend them!:
