Ellen’s Silkscreening is a medium sized apparel printing and embroidery company based in South Pasadena, California. We regularly handle printed and embroidered orders of between 24 and 5,000 units in-house on a 7-10 working day turnaround. Our knowledgeable sales team also sources out printed promotional product orders to a large network of vendors on a daily basis.

Remembering Ellen Daigle

It gives us great sadness to announce the passing of the amazing Ellen Daigle, the founder and co-owner of Ellen’s Silkscreening along with her husband, Joe Daigle. Ellen passed away peacefully at home on September 12th after a long and brave struggle with glioblastoma, a highly aggressive form of brain cancer. 

Ellen started Ellen’s Silkscreening in 1978 and with her husband Joe, ran the business continuously and very successfully until she was cruelly struck down by illness in the fall of 2023. Ellen loved coming into the office every day and her cheerful personality, limitless energy, and resilience were an inspiration to us all. She was not only a successful entrepreneur, but also a mother of three girls, a registered nurse (her career before starting Ellen’s) and a committed civic leader, who fiercely loved her friends and family.

As the owner of Ellen’s Silkscreening, Ellen set a standard of careful and attentive customer service, excellent product quality, and reliable and timely completion of orders. These were always core values for her. She also loved greeting and catching up with her clients when they stopped by the office to place and pick up orders.

As a business owner and boss, Ellen cared deeply for her employees and their families and she was like a second Mom to many of us. She took immense pride in following the growth and progress of our employees’ children, many of whom have gone on to great success at school and college.

We will miss her very much.

With Ellen’s passing the day to day running of Ellen’s Silkscreening passes to her son-in-law, Howard Norris and the wonderful team of employees that Ellen assembled over the years. We are committed to continuing to run Ellen’s Silkscreening to the same high standards that Ellen and her husband Joe maintained since she started the business back in 1978.
