The Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market Stays Fresh With Ellen’s Silkscreening

Every Sunday, rain or shine, the city of Beverly Hills hosts more than 60 farmers and vendors at the Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market.

Here you can see the way colors are layered to make the print: first yellow on a white base, then red, blue, and black.

A mainstay of the Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market is their classic farmer mascot. Market manager Greta Dunlap contacted illustrator and Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market volunteer Gary Baseman to create something special, and in 2004 their mascot was born.

When the time came to print their new mascot on goods to sell at the market in 2005, Greta chose Ellen’s Silkscreening to be her printer; the Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market has worked with us ever since.

Ellen’s prints shirts, tote bags, and aprons for the Farmers’ Market. We’ve even embroidered their mascot on blankets!
