Meet Our Team

Customer service is our passion
President and Owner

Ellen Daigle

Originally from New York City, Ellen came to California in 1960. She initially trained as a nurse and spent more than a decade working as an RN. Being a single mom of three daughters, she started Ellen’s Silkscreening in 1978 with the goal of having a career that would allow her to spend more time with her girls. Ellen quickly found that she loved running a business and Ellen’s Silkscreening grew steadily to become the bustling company that it is today. Ellen’s enthusiasm and warm personality continue to make the shop a friendly and welcoming place to visit and make orders.

Joe Daigle

Joe is originally from Bridgeport, Connecticut and moved to Los Angeles in the mid-1960s after serving in the U.S. Air Force. Joe worked as an art director for disc jockey Art Laboe at his radio station KRLA from 1968 until 1984. He first met Ellen when she stopped by KRLA on a sales visit in 1978. Not long after that Ellen and Joe began dating. In 1984, Ellen and Joe got married and Joe left KRLA to work full-time at Ellen’s as a graphic artist and operations manager. Ellen and Joe proved to be a great team and together they built a prosperous and respected business that continues to this day.

Howard Norris

Howard is originally from New Zealand but has lived in the United States for most of his life. A graduate of Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Howard was a successful advertising photographer for 15 years prior to coming to Ellen’s four years ago. As manager, Howard is dedicated to continuing the outstanding legacy of owners Ellen and Joe Daigle – to maintain a warm and welcoming showroom backed up by a top notch screen printing and embroidery shop.  With a photographer’s eye for detail, Howard is dedicated to continually pushing the imprint and embroidery standards of the shop higher.
